We want to make language learning fun through music!

Nursery rhymes are found in all cultures and traditions. Research even suggests  humans may have started singing before they started speaking!

Music is amazing!

Music has an amazing ability to help in language learning, even helping people to learn to talk again. It activates areas of the brain involved in language, memory and emotion, which speaking alone does not.

We want to make language learning fun and easy for kids (and adults too)!

About the founder

Hi! My name is Jonathan Boscarato!

I am a passionate language learner and a musician, and the founder of Lingosing!

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I started looking for some music that could help children to learn languages throughout the lockdown.

While I found a lot of nursery rhymes, I found that most of it was not ideal for language learning. Most nursery rhymes don’t contain the words and sentences that are used in daily conversation. Worse still, some of them were grammatically incorrect!

I decided to start writing my own nursery rhymes to help my children and their cousins to learn languages, and published the first episode of the Lingosing podcast on Spotify in September 2020.

In July 2022, after writing these songs for almost two years, I was fortunate enough to receive an Innovation Connect Grant from the amazing people at the Canberra Innovation Network.

Our small team is now building the next stage of Lingosing, which we hope will allow children from all over the world to learn languages through music!
